Job Title: Cabinet Maker

Salary: €16-18 per hour
Summary:
Our Client in Roscommon is looking to hire experienced Cabinet Maker. The purpose of a cabinet maker's job is to design, construct, repair, and install cabinetry for residential, commercial, or industrial use. Cabinet makers combine technical skill, artistic design, and knowledge of materials to create functional and aesthetically pleasing furniture and fixtures.
Responsibilities:

• Cut, shape, and assemble wood and other materials using hand tools, power tools, and machinery.
• Create custom cabinetry, shelving, furniture, or decorative fixtures.
• Work with various materials like wood, laminates, metals, and glass.
• Install cabinets and fixtures in homes, offices, or commercial spaces.
• Ensure precise fitting and secure mounting.
• Modify or adjust installations as needed.
• Repair damaged or worn cabinetry and furniture.
• Perform refinishing or resurfacing work to restore original appearances.
• Replace or repair hardware like hinges, knobs, and drawer slides.
• Inspect completed work to ensure it meets specifications and quality standards.
• Apply finishes, stains, or paints to enhance durability and aesthetics.
• Follow safety protocols and ensure work complies with building codes.
• Communicate with the design team effectively to understand customer needs and expectations.
• Provide updates on project progress and seek approvals for design changes.
• Ensure customer satisfaction through attention to detail and craftsmanship.
• Maintain tools and machinery, ensuring they are in good working order.
• Keep the workshop clean and organised.
• Order and manage inventory of materials and supplies.

Requirements:

• Previous experience designing high spec furniture of over 2+ years
• Inventory management experience attained
