Description

Our client is looking for an experienced IT technician to join their team on a part-time basis. the role with be 12 hours per week. The IT Technician offers onsite support and manages local IT demands for end users. Primary responsibilities are IT equipment setup for new and existing employees, mobile phone administration and desktop/laptop break-fix repairs. In addition, they will be responsible for handling end user device incidents and requests.

Your Responsibilities

  • IT hardware/software implementations
  • Setup of IT equipment for new starters and transfers within the business
  • Follow up and retrieve IT equipment from people leaving the business
  • Installation of operating system and applications on PC’s
  • Administer Microsoft users using Active Directory and Software distribution tools
  • Asset track Hilti IT equipment
  • Proactively keeping track of IT stock levels
  • Use of Service Now helpdesk system to log all incidents/requests
  • Work closely and proactively engage with colleagues/RIM/Global IT to ensure our SLA is met


Required Skills and Expertise

  • Strong PC, laptop, tablet and hardware support experience
  • Knowledge and experience of Microsoft Windows OS, Microsoft Office, PC hardware/software / tools, network troubleshooting (LAN and TCP/IP), and IT hardware
  • 2-3 years of proven track record in a support role including experience in customer support
  • 2-3 years of stakeholder and management experience
  • Good coaching skills. Able to produce user guides, share IT knowledge with colleagues, improve the user experience for all
  • High level of accuracy
  • Ability to work under pressure
  • Able to prioritise based on business needs
  • Being able to work without supervision
  • Clear understanding of the IT Support process – Incident/Service support
  • Manages daily & weekly tasks
