Job Overview

Gi Group are currently seeking an experienced and skilled Kitchen Fitter to join a high-quality kitchen installation team. This role requires precision, craftsmanship, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service. You'll be responsible for installing kitchen units, worktops, appliances, and fittings in residential or commercial settings to a consistently high standard.

Key Responsibilities

  • Install kitchen cabinetry, worktops, and built-in appliances according to detailed plans and specifications.
  • Fit sinks, taps, and other components with accuracy and care.
  • Ensure doors, drawers, and hinges are correctly adjusted for smooth operation.
  • Accurately measure and cut materials using power and hand tools such as saws, drills, and routers.
  • Modify and adapt installations on-site when faced with bespoke requirements or unforeseen challenges.
  • Liaise directly with clients to confirm design requirements and any last-minute changes.
  • Coordinate effectively with electricians, plumbers, and decorators to ensure integrated installations.
  • Maintain clear and professional communication to prevent delays and ensure smooth project execution.
  • Keep the work area clean and safe at all times; ensure proper disposal of waste.
  • Offer guidance to clients on materials, finishes, and layout when needed.
  • Comply with all relevant health and safety regulations, including proper use of PPE.
  • Conduct repairs or adjustments to existing kitchen installations where required (e.g., replacing worn hinges or realigning misfitted doors).


Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience in kitchen fitting or carpentry/joinery roles.
  • Strong attention to detail and pride in producing high-quality finishes.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and adaptability on-site.
  • Confident communicator with the ability to build positive client relationships.
  • Capable of interpreting technical drawings and working independently or as part of a team.
  • Committed to cleanliness, safety, and maintaining a professional work environment.
  • Full driving licence may be required, depending on the location of work.
