Role Summary:
We are seeking a proactive and organised Logistics Support Supervisor to oversee the daily operations of our logistics support administration team. This role is key to ensuring that outbound shipments, inventory control, and distribution processes run smoothly and meet company standards for accuracy, efficiency, and timeliness. The successful candidate will lead a team, coordinate with multiple departments, and drive continuous improvement across logistics support functions.
Main Responsibilities:
- Supervise and support logistics support staff, fostering a high-performance culture.
- Deliver training and coaching to enhance team capabilities and ensure consistent performance.
- Assign and monitor daily tasks to maintain operational flow and meet deadlines.
- Serve as the central communication link between logistics, warehouse, customer service, and retail teams.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to streamline processes and identify cost-saving opportunities.
- Address and resolve logistics-related issues swiftly to avoid disruption to retail operations.
- Monitor and analyse key metrics such as delivery accuracy, inventory levels, and team productivity.
- Generate and present performance reports to senior management.
- Recommend and implement operational improvements to boost efficiency and customer satisfaction.
- Handle administrative tasks including documentation, data entry, and system updates to support logistics operations.
- Solid background in logistics, supply chain, customer service, or administrative roles.
- Experience in supervising or leading a team.
- Strong organisational skills with a problem-solving mindset.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel; familiarity with ERP systems is a plus.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
- High attention to detail and strong administrative capabilities.
- Understanding of logistics and supply chain operations is beneficial.
