GI Group is recruiting an experienced Maintenance Fitter for a leading wastewater treatment facility based in Dublin. This is a great opportunity for anyone looking to further their career with the added option of funded personal development and benefits.
Key Responsibilities:
- Work as part of a skilled mechanical team, including overseeing contractors for maintenance, repairs, and installations.
- Perform preventative maintenance on a wide range of plant equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organised engineering area, promoting good housekeeping practices.
- Contribute to equipment improvement initiatives through identification, analysis, and implementation of continuous improvement projects.
- Ensure all maintenance activities comply with site procedures and safety policies.
- Troubleshoot equipment faults and failures, identify root causes, and carry out effective repairs.
- Accurately complete and regularly review planned maintenance routines using MAXIMO (CMMS).
- Log all maintenance activity within the MAXIMO system.
- Collaborate with engineering and production teams to drive continuous improvement and optimise equipment performance.
- Minimise equipment downtime through swift, efficient problem-solving and root cause analysis.
- Analyse and eliminate recurring faults to improve long-term reliability.
Skills & Experience:
- Fully qualified Maintenance Fitter (Craft Certificate or equivalent).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and initiative.
- Demonstrated ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
- Self-motivated with a proactive approach to work.
- High level of technical expertise and attention to detail.
- Previous experience within a wastewater treatment environment is advantageous but not essential.
