Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Location: Shrule, Co. Mayo
Salary: €45,000 - €50,000 per annum


Job Summary:
We are currently seeking a skilled and proactive Maintenance Technician to join our client in Shrule, Co. Mayo.
Our client is a leading manufacturer of bespoke kitchens in Ireland who is looking to add to their small but growing team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the efficient operation, maintenance, and repair of machinery, equipment, and facilities within our premises. This role requires a detail-oriented professional with strong technical expertise and a commitment to maintaining high standards of safety and quality.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform preventative maintenance tasks to minimize downtime and ensure equipment reliability.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and technical issues with machinery and equipment.
  • Carry out repairs and replacements as needed to maintain optimal functionality.
  • Install and commission new machinery and equipment as required.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, repairs, and inspections.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, reporting any hazards or risks promptly.
  • Collaborate with other departments to address maintenance needs and prioritize tasks.
  • Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement solutions to increase efficiency.
  • Support the development and implementation of maintenance schedules and plans.

Required Qualifications and Skills:

  • Proven experience in a maintenance technician role within a manufacturing or industrial environment.
  • Strong knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, including troubleshooting and repair.
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and manuals.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive approach to maintenance.
  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with colleagues and external contractors.
  • Flexibility to respond to emergency callouts when required.
