Job Specification: Sales Representative – Mechanical Components

Overview

We are seeking a motivated and driven Sales Representative to join our office-based team. The successful candidate will be responsible for selling mechanical parts and sandblasting equipment to a network of distributors. This role combines insights with regular customer interactions, requiring strong relationship-building skills and technical curiosity.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow sales to existing distributors while identifying new business opportunities.
  • Conduct proactive outbound sales calls and respond to inbound enquiries.
  • Develop a strong understanding of the company’s sandblasting products and mechanical

components.

  • Visit customers 1 day per week to strengthen relationships, present products, and support distributors.
  • Prepare quotations, follow up on proposals, and negotiate pricing within agreed guidelines.
  • Maintain accurate CRM records, including pipeline management and customer activity.
  • Collaborate with internal departments (operations, technical, and customer service) to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Represent the company professionally at all times.

Essential Experience & Skills

  • Previous sales experience (minimum 1–2 years) in B2B, industrial, mechanical, or technical product sales.
  • Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
  • Confident on the phone and comfortable conducting structured sales conversations.
  • Ability to explain technical products clearly (training will be provided).
  • Highly organised with good attention to detail.
  • Full clean driving licence.



Desirable (Nice-to-Have)

  • Experience selling to distributors and trade customers.
  • Knowledge of mechanical parts, industrial equipment, or engineered products.
  • Familiarity with sandblasting or surface preparation equipment (not essential).
