The Opportunity
Gi Group is partnering with a well-established and growing architectural practice in Limerick to recruit a Senior Architectural Technologist. This is a key hire within a technically driven team delivering complex, large-scale projects across the commercial, healthcare, and data centre sectors.
This role suits someone who enjoys taking ownership of projects, leading technical delivery, and working on buildings where coordination, precision, and buildability are critical. You’ll be heavily involved from early design development through to construction, ensuring high-quality output at every stage.
Key Responsibilities
- Project Delivery: Lead the technical development of medium to large-scale projects from design stage through to completion.
- Revit & BIM Leadership: Produce and manage detailed Revit models and drawing packages, ensuring accuracy and coordination across all disciplines.
- Technical Detailing: Prepare high-quality construction drawings, specifications, and tender documentation.
- Coordination: Work closely with multidisciplinary teams including engineers, contractors, and consultants to resolve design and technical challenges.
- Compliance: Ensure all projects meet current Irish Building Regulations, including Planning, Fire Safety Certificates, and Disability Access requirements.
- Site Involvement: Attend site meetings, liaise with contractors, and ensure design intent is maintained throughout the build process.
- Mentorship: Support and guide junior technologists, contributing to overall team development.
Requirements
- Experience: Minimum 7+ years’ experience in an architectural practice (Ireland or UK preferred).
- Education: Degree or Diploma in Architectural Technology or a related discipline.
- Software: Advanced proficiency in Revit is essential
Strong working knowledge of BIM workflows
Experience with AutoCAD and other industry tools is beneficial
- Project Experience: Demonstrated experience working on commercial, healthcare (e.g. hospitals), data centres, or large-scale infrastructure projects.
- Technical Strength: Strong understanding of construction detailing, building systems, and project delivery.
- Communication: Confident in dealing with clients, contractors, and internal teams.
