Our Client is a leading provider of design, procurement, construction ,safety and commissioning services for Public and Private infrastructure construction projects across Ireland.​

Renowned in the renewable , transmission system and distribution operator industries , for delivering turnkey services for commercial, community, and public sector clients nationwide.

Due to continued growth we are seeking an experienced Bid Manager to join my clients existing team in Tipperary. As the Bid Manager you will be responsible for leading and managing the tendering process for my client.

This role reports directly to the Business Unit General Manager. And is an exciting opportunity join a company who strive to drive higher standards of Safety, Environment and Sustainability across Ireland both in the commercial, and industrial sectors.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the end-to-end tendering process for energy-related projects, from initial qualification to submission.
  • Analyse tender documents and customer requirements, assessing opportunities feasibility, risks, and potential for the company.
  • Ensure compliance with all technical, financial, legal, and regulatory standards required within the Irish energy industry.
  • Work closely with engineering, project management, finance, procurement, administration, and legal teams to gather input for bid proposals.
  • Coordinate with external suppliers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to gather accurate data and cost estimates.
  • Function as a liaison between clients, consultants, and the internal team to ensure clear communication and expectations alignment.
  • Maintain a solid understanding of energy policies, regulatory changes, and developments within the energy sector in Ireland.
  • Work with the risk management team to ensure all risks are identified, mitigated, and documented in line with company policies.
  • Lead negotiations and communicate effectively with clients to align on requirements and ensure smooth contract awards.
  • Present bids to clients, address any clarifications, and participate in post-tender negotiations.


Requirements

  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in tendering, proposals, or project management within the energy or utilities sector, ideally within the Irish or EU market
  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business Administration, or a related field. A master’s degree or relevant professional certification is an advantage.
  • Strong understanding of the energy industry, specifically in renewable energy, power generation, or infrastructure projects.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and Word. Familiarity with tendering software and CRM tools.
  • Ability to prepare accurate and competitive pricing and financial models.
  • Strong organisational and project management skills, with experience managing complex, multi-stakeholder bids.
  • Excellent negotiation, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
