Job Title: CNC Machinist – Woodworking Industry

About the Role
Gi Group Recruitment are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist in Co. Longford with hands-on experience in woodworking manufacturing environments.

The ideal candidate will be proficient with Cosmic 20 or earlier CNC systems, and possess strong working knowledge of Cabinet Vision and Alphacam CAD software.

This role is central to the companies production operations, involving the setup, programming, and operation of CNC machines to produce high-quality wood components to exact specifications.

Responsibilities:

• Operate and maintain CNC machinery, particularly systems running Cosmic 20 or earlier.
• Read and interpret technical drawings and CAD files from Cabinet Vision and Alphacam.
• Program CNC machines accurately to optimize workflow and minimize waste.
• Conduct quality checks to ensure finished components meet design specifications.
• Troubleshoot and resolve machine or programming issues.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and efficient work environment.

Required Qualifications:

• Minimum 2–3 years' experience operating CNC machines in the woodworking industry.
• Proficient in Cosmic 20 or earlier CNC controls.
• Strong experience with Cabinet Vision and Alphacam CAD/CAM software.
• Solid understanding of woodworking processes and materials.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and production schematics.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
