The Opportunity:
We are seeking a talented and motivated Draughtsperson/Designer to join our clients team in Kilkelly. This is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented individual with strong technical skills and a passion for design to contribute to a dynamic and successful company. As a Draughtsperson/Designer, you will play a crucial role in translating project requirements into accurate and comprehensive technical drawings and designs for our roofing and cladding projects.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare detailed 2D and 3D technical drawings, plans, and elevations using AutoCAD and other relevant software.
- Interpret architectural drawings, specifications, and client briefs to develop accurate and buildable designs.
- Collaborate closely with project managers, surveyors, and installation teams to ensure design feasibility and accuracy.
- Produce material schedules, take-offs, and other relevant documentation.
- Ensure all drawings and designs comply with relevant building regulations, standards, and client specifications.
- Assist in the development of design solutions, considering factors such as aesthetics, functionality, and cost-effectiveness.
- Manage and organize drawing files and project documentation effectively.
- Keep up-to-date with industry trends, new materials, and construction techniques.
- Assist with site surveys and measurements when required.
- Contribute to a positive and collaborative team environment.
Requirements:
- Relevant qualification in Draughting, Design, Architecture Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Draughtsperson/Designer, preferably within the roofing and cladding or construction industry.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential. Experience with Revit or other BIM software is advantageous.
- Strong understanding of construction principles, building regulations, and material specifications.
- Excellent attention to detail and a high degree of accuracy.
- Strong spatial reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications effectively.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- A valid driver's license may be required.
