Title: General Operator
Location: Dunmore Co. Galway
Hours: Monday – Friday (40 hours per week)
Gi Group Recruitment are currently sourcing for General Operators for our client in Dunmore Co. Galway.
Our client is a second generation, family run business who are the national leader the design, manufacturing and installation of quality loft ladder systems. The purpose of the role of the General Operators is to assist the team in the production of loft ladder systems from their factory in Dunmore. This role would suit someone who has previous experience working with timber.

What will I be doing?
• Managing stock of wood onsite, including storage of timber components for assembly
• Processing of wood onsite to produce various timber parts
• Ensuring good stock of processed parts for assembly in conjunction with production team
• Effective use of machinery to operate at optimum performance in accordance with training and instruction
• Recording & scheduling of machine maintenance
• Adhering to all EHS policies and procedures including Manual Handling
What will I bring to the role?
• Prior experience working with wood machinery in a production/processing capacity would be an advantage.
• Ability to bring flexibility to the role and train on all work stations to ensure adequate coverage
• Excellent timekeeping and attendance
• Ability to work as part of a team to meet weekly targets for production.
