Part III Architect – Residential

€50,000 – €65,000 (DOE)
Overview
Gi Group Recruitment is working with a well-established and design led architectural practice in Galway to appoint a Part III Architect with a strong focus on residential projects.
This is a hands-on role within a collaborative studio, offering the opportunity to lead and deliver a range of residential schemes from one off private homes to larger housing developments and multi-unit projects.
You’ll be involved across all project stages, with real input into design, planning, and technical delivery. The role would suit someone who is confident managing projects and enjoys balancing creativity with practical execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and delivery of residential projects from concept through to completion
- Prepare and manage planning applications, including drawings, reports, and submissions
- Develop detailed design packages and technical documentation for construction
- Liaise directly with clients, consultants, contractors, and local authorities
- Ensure all designs comply with Irish Building Regulations and planning requirements
- Attend site visits, design meetings, and project reviews
- Coordinate multidisciplinary teams and manage project timelines
- Mentor and support junior team members where required
Requirements
- Qualified Architect (Part III) with professional registration or eligibility for registration in Ireland
- Minimum 3–5+ years’ post-Part III experience, ideally within the Irish market
- Strong experience in residential projects (essential)
- Solid understanding of Irish planning processes and building regulations
- Proficiency in Revit (highly desirable) and/or AutoCAD
- Good working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite
- Strong design, technical, and detailing ability
- Excellent communication and organisational skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects and work independently when required
