Our client in the renewable energy sector is looking for an experienced plant manager to join their team. This role offers a fulfilling career path for the successful candidate, along with opportunities for advancement within one of Ireland’s leading companies in renewable energy.
Salary for the role is : 60-80k (DOE)
Key Responsibilities :
- Optimize operational efficiency and profit margins in alignment with budget targets
- Lead and manage the plant’s daily operations
- Supervise staff performance and activities, including scheduling and rota management
- Design and implement processes to boost productivity and operational performance
- Enforce and manage environmental policies and systems
- Monitor, analyze, and address KPI variances through regular reporting
- Oversee planning and management of all feedstock and digestate operations
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key suppliers
- Coordinate and conduct routine maintenance activities
- Manage contractor support and engagement
- Oversee inventory and availability of critical spare parts
- Uphold high standards of health and safety across the site
- Develop and implement method statements and risk assessments
- Ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environmental regulations
- Guarantee continuous 24/7 operation of the facility
- Collaborate closely with directors to drive ongoing site improvements
Requirements:
- Engineering qualification
- Managerial experience in the renewable energy / agricultural sector is highly beneficial
- Ability to manage and lead staff
- Strong knowledge of root cause analysis and troubleshooting operational issues
- Good decision making skills
