Description

Job Title: Senior HRIS Analyst
Location: Hybrid – minimum 3 days per week in Dublin office
Contract Type: 8 to 10 month Project Assignment
Daily Rate: €400-450 per day
Summary:
GI Group is recruiting a Senior HRIS Analyst to join the Company’s global HRIS team. This is a hands-on Workday role: you’ll provide technical support, maintain configuration and security, own change control, and partner with Compensation, Talent Acquisition and HR Business stakeholders to deliver reliable HCM capabilities and a world-class user experience.
Responsibilities:

  • Provide day-to-day Workday support across HCM modules (Core HCM, Security, Business Processes, Compensation, Absence, Talent, Recruiting, Self Service, Reporting & Analytics).
  • Lead configuration changes from requirement through deployment: gather requirements, design tenant configuration, update security groups, script test cases, perform unit/system testing and drive user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Implement change-control and impact-assessment processes to evaluate effects on business flows and integrations before deployment.
  • Configure business process definitions, tenant-level settings and security roles; manage eligibility rules and plan relationships.
  • Execute complex mass uploads and data corrections (EIBs/CSV uploads or equivalent), validate in sandbox, run pre/post validation and maintain audit logs.
  • Troubleshoot workflow and integration issues: perform root cause analysis, remediate configuration errors, and liaise with integration teams to ensure correct data flows.
  • Build and maintain custom reports and calculated fields; provide analytics to support HR decisions.
  • Manage support tickets via ServiceNow and ensure SLAs are met.
  • Identify training and change-management needs; create toolkits, job aids and user communications to lift adoption.
  • Act as a subject-matter expert for new Workday functionality and continuous improvement initiatives.

Day-to-day / implementation approach (what success looks like)

  • Translate stakeholder needs into clear design specs and configuration tasks.
  • Configure in sandbox → run unit tests → execute integration tests → lead UAT with stakeholders → schedule controlled production deployment.
  • Use traceable change-control documentation and impact matrices for each release.
  • Perform mass-load dry-runs and reconciliation, resolving errors before production uploads.
  • Maintain and tune security groups and business process guards to minimise overrides and exceptions.
  • Log, prioritise and resolve incidents via ServiceNow; escalate when integrations or vendor fixes are required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR, Information Systems, Business Administration or related field.
  • 3+ years’ experience in HRIS/IT/HR environment with hands-on Workday configuration and administration.
  • Strong understanding of Workday system design, business process configuration, security model and reporting.
  • Experience with integrations and data flow (EIB/Core Connectors/Workday Studio experience advantageous).
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office tools.
  • Prior exposure to global organisations and multi-region HR processes.
  • Experience using ServiceNow (or similar ITSM) for issue management.
  • Ability to design, build and validate custom reports.
