About the Opportunity
Gi Group Recruitment is delighted to be partnering with a well-established and rapidly expanding civil engineering contractor to recruit a Site Engineers for projects across Meath and Limerick.

This role presents an excellent opportunity for a motivated and career-focused individual to join a high-performing team delivering key water infrastructure projects. Key Responsibilities
As part of the site team, you will work closely with Project Managers and site personnel to ensure projects are delivered to a high standard. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing and interpreting technical drawings and specifications
  • Carrying out accurate setting out using GPS and Total Station equipment
  • Coordinating effectively with site supervisors and subcontractors
  • Monitoring quality standards and ensuring compliance across all works
  • Preparing and issuing progress reports to design and project teams
  • Promoting a collaborative, efficient, and safety-conscious site environment


Candidate Requirements
The ideal candidate will have:

  • A minimum of 2 years’ experience in a similar Site Engineer or Civil Engineering role
  • Hands-on experience with GPS and Total Station setting out
  • A degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Engineering, or a related discipline
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and general IT systems
  • Strong communication and coordination skills
  • Previous experience in water infrastructure projects (desirable)
  • Proven problem-solving ability and capacity to manage multiple priorities
  • Excellent organisational and documentation skills
  • A full, clean manual Irish driving licence
