GI Group are hiring on behalf of our client in the tyre and automotive industry for a Wheels Department Manager.
This is an exciting opportunity for a technically skilled professional to take ownership of a growing department and play a key role in shaping its future.


Candidate Profile


We are seeking a candidate with strong technical capability. Experience working with agricultural machinery, mechanical systems, or engineering environments will be highly valued.
This is a new role, and we are looking for a strong manager who can take ownership of the Wheels Department, develop systems and processes, and expand and run the department efficiently.
The successful candidate will bring initiative, leadership, and strong technical understanding to help build and manage the department effectively.


Key Attributes


The ideal candidate will have:


  • A strong agricultural or machinery background

  • Strong technical and mechanical knowledge

  • Experience managing teams or production environments

  • The ability to introduce and maintain efficient systems, processes, and workflow management

  • Confidence working with technical drawings, specifications, and measurements

  • The leadership ability to develop and grow the department over time

What We Are Looking For


We are looking for someone who can:


  • Take responsibility for the Wheels Department and drive its development

  • Manage incoming jobs and ensure efficient turnaround times

  • Lead and coordinate a team working on the floor

  • Create and maintain technical drawings, specifications, and digital records for wheel production and restoration

  • Maintain high standards of quality and organisation across the department
