Gi Group are currently recruiting for an experienced Yard Manager to join one of Ireland’s leading building suppliers in Athlone Co. Westmeath
The Yard Manager will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations in a yard, including managing and supervising yard personnel, coordinating with other departments, and ensuring that all equipment is properly maintained.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervise yard personnel and assign tasks as necessary
• Ensure that all safety protocols are implemented and followed
• Maintain inventory of equipment and supplies
• Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations
• Implement and enforce policies and procedures
• Maintain records and reports on yard activities
• Participate in hiring and training of yard personnel
• Maintain and repair equipment as needed

Qualifications

• 3-5 years of experience in a similar hardware role
• Excellent organisational and communication skills
• Ability to multitask and prioritise tasks effectively
• Proficient in using Microsoft Office and other basic computer skills
• Knowledge of safety regulations and procedures

The Yard Manager should be a responsible and detail-oriented individual who is able to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude.
